At Caleres, we believe our Associates are our greatest asset. We are seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Leader to champion workplace safety, drive compliance, and foster a culture where every Associate goes home safely every day.

This role serves as the on-site safety expert for our Lebanon Distribution Center, partnering closely with Operations, Human Resources, Risk Management, and Associates to build and maintain a safe, compliant, and engaged workplace. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who is comfortable working in a fast-paced distribution environment and has a passion for safety, training, and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

• Lead and support all environmental, health, and safety initiatives within the Distribution Center.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and federal, state, and local safety requirements.
• Conduct accident and incident investigations, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Partner with site leadership to address safety concerns, reduce risk, and improve workplace safety performance.
• Deliver safety training, including new hire orientation, equipment operation, and ongoing safety education.
• Support and oversee Powered Industrial Vehicle (PIV) training and certification programs.
• Conduct safety audits, inspections, and facility safety walks.
• Maintain safety records, OSHA logs, training certifications, and required compliance documentation.
• Support workers' compensation and injury management processes through investigation, documentation, and prevention efforts.
• Drive Associate engagement and participation in safety programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Partner with network safety leadership to implement enterprise-wide safety strategies and programs.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety & Health, or a related field preferred.
• 3-5 years of safety experience in a distribution, warehouse, manufacturing, or similar operational environment.
• Experience conducting workplace accident and incident investigations.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety practices.
• Experience with Powered Industrial Vehicles (forklifts, order pickers, reach trucks, yard trucks, etc.).
• Ability to develop and deliver both classroom and hands-on safety training.
• Strong organizational, documentation, and recordkeeping skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• CSP or other professional safety certification preferred.
• First Aid, CPR, and AED certification preferred.
