Specialist, Project Management

Position Summary

We are seeking a Project Manager to lead cross-functional development projects for Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) equipment and software solutions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for end-to-end project execution through the company's phase-gate development process, from concept through product release. The role will work closely with Engineering, Product Management, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and external development partners to deliver products on schedule, within budget, and to quality objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Execution

·         Lead AOI machine and software development projects from concept through product launch.

·         Develop project plans, schedules, resource requirements, and project deliverables.

·         Monitor project performance and drive timely resolution of risks, issues, and dependencies.

·         Ensure compliance with Product Development Process (PDP) and phase-gate requirements.

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Coordinate activities across Software, Vision Algorithm, Mechanical, Electrical, Test Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Product Management teams.
• Facilitate communication and alignment among global stakeholders.
• Support design reviews, verification, validation, and release readiness activities.

External Partner Management

• Manage external development partners, suppliers, and technology vendors.
• Define project deliverables, schedules, and responsibilities with external partners.
• Track partner performance, drive accountability, and resolve project-related issues and risks.
• Ensure effective collaboration between internal teams and external development organizations.

Stakeholder Communication

• Provide regular project updates to management and stakeholders.
• Prepare project reports, dashboards, and executive summaries.
• Present project status, risks, and mitigation plans during project reviews.

Documentation & Process Improvement

• Maintain project schedules, action logs, risk registers, and gate review materials.
• Support continuous improvement of project management and product development processes.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Project Management, or a related discipline.

Experience

• 3+ years of experience managing engineering or product development projects.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and coordinating external development partners.
• Experience working with phase-gate or structured product development processes.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of product development lifecycle management.
• Experience with project planning and scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project.
• Understanding of risk management, change management, and resource planning.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with global teams, ODM/OEM partners, or outsourced development organizations.
• Familiarity with machine vision, motion control, or inspection systems.
