Specification Manager

About the role

Dyntek Pte Ltd is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Specification Manager to join our team in a full-time capacity, based at our Pasir Panjang location in the Central Region. This is a strategic position within our construction division where you will play a crucial role in managing project specifications, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and serving as a key point of liaison between design teams, contractors, and clients. Your expertise will directly influence project quality, timelines, and client satisfaction, making this role integral to our operational success.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, review, and maintain comprehensive project specifications in accordance with industry standards and client requirements
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and design teams to ensure specifications align with project objectives and regulatory requirements
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to verify compliance with approved specifications throughout the construction process
• Manage specification documentation and maintain up-to-date records of all revisions and amendments
• Liaise with contractors and suppliers to clarify specification requirements and address technical queries
• Identify and resolve discrepancies between specifications and on-site construction practices
• Provide technical support and guidance to project teams during the implementation phase
• Prepare specification reports and documentation for project handover and client delivery
• Collaborate with quality assurance teams to establish and monitor specification compliance metrics
• Stay current with industry developments and emerging construction standards to enhance specification practices

What we're looking for

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architectural Technology, or related discipline
• Minimum of 3–5 years of professional experience in specification management or a similar technical role within the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of construction specifications, building codes, and industry standards (such as Singapore Building Code and relevant material specifications)
• Proficiency in using specification software and project management tools
• Excellent attention to detail with demonstrated ability to manage complex technical documentation
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams
• Problem-solving mindset with the capacity to address technical challenges pragmatically
• Experience with BIM (Building Information Modelling) or CAD software is highly desirable
• Familiarity with construction procurement processes and material sourcing
