Specification Writer

Job Purpose

Lead preparation and delivery of project specifications, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and integration with design documentation while mentoring junior writers.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership

• Lead preparation of specifications from concept to IFC stage.
• Ensure specifications meet codes, standards, and client expectations.
• Represent the discipline in meetings and technical reviews.

Mentorship & Development

• Provide oversight and mentoring to junior writers.
• Deliver training on codes, standards, and innovations.

Project Coordination

• Collaborate with project managers to align specs with schedules and budgets.
• Engage in vendor/product evaluations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
