Specifier

About the role

We are looking for a Specifier to join Lotus Plywood KL and develop strong relationships with interior designers, renovation companies, and design firms.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and approach interior designers, design firms, and renovation companies
• Arrange meetings, visits, product presentations, and casual catch-ups with designers
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential designer contacts
• Regularly follow up with designers and stay informed about their upcoming projects
• Build a strong network within the interior design and renovation industry
• Obtain project information and carpenter contacts through relationships with interior designers
• Follow up on projects where Lotus Plywood products may be specified or used
• Introduce Lotus Plywood to relevant carpenters, contractors, and project stakeholders
• Pass qualified carpenter and project leads to the company's sales team for follow-up
• Introduce designers to Lotus Plywood's products, including plywood, PVC laminates, HPL and other specialty products

About you

• Experience in sales, business development, interior design, renovation, building materials, or a related industry is preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable meeting and speaking with interior designers and industry professionals
• Friendly, outgoing, and confident personality
• Proactive and self-motivated
• Good follow-up and relationship management skills
• Able to work independently and manage a network of contacts
• Willing to travel for client visits and industry events
• Possess own transport and a valid driving license
