Specimen Processor - 3rd Shift

Role Overview: The Specimen Processor is responsible for preparing laboratory specimens for testing in a high-volume, third-shift environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Accession, sort, label, and ship specimens accurately and efficiently
• Route specimens to appropriate staging areas and enter patient data into lab systems
• Properly store excess samples and resolve issues with problem specimens
• Meet departmental productivity goals in a fast-paced setting

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to accurately identify, label, and handle biological specimens
• Strong data entry and organizational skills with attention to detail
• Comfortable lifting up to 40 lbs and handling biological materials
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Ability to pass a colorblindness test
• Preferred: 1+ years in lab, accessioning, production, manufacturing, or warehouse experience
