Specimen Processor

Role: Specimen Processor responsible for preparing, labeling, and routing laboratory specimens in a high-throughput diagnostic setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and route specimens to appropriate staging areas
• Unpack, identify, label, and pack specimens following protocols
• Accurately enter patient and specimen data in a timely manner
• Identify, resolve, and document problem specimens
• Contribute to achieving departmental production and activity goals

Qualifications And Skills

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to handle biological specimens accurately and safely
• Strong organizational and data entry skills with keen attention to detail
• Capacity to lift up to 40 lbs and pass color blindness screening
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and collaborative team environments
• Preferred: Over 1 year of lab, accessioning, production, or warehouse experience
