Specimen Processor/Lab Assistant

Pride Health is hiring a Specimen Processor/Lab Assistant to support our client’s medical facility based in Irving, TX 75063. This is a 4+ months assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Job Name: Specimen Processor/Lab Assistant

Location : Irving, TX 75063

Duration : 04+ months with possibilities of extension

Shift: Tuesday - Saturday 2p - 10:30p

Payrate : $17-19/hr. on w2/Pay Rate is based on experience and educational qualifications.

Job Responsibilities:

• Receive and sort clinical lab specimens.
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis Scan and/or data entry of specimen and patient information.
• Ensure all lab equipment is working properly and perform minor instrumentation maintenance.
• Troubleshoot any specimen related issues.
• Replenish test bench supplies as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Complete record logs and other administrative duties as requested.
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures to ensure safety and quality standards.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
