SPED Teacher (Part-time)

We are looking for a Part-time SPED Teacher to plan, prepare and implement teaching plans for children with moderate to severe special needs. Hours are 9:00AM to 1:00PM, Monday to Friday. 1-year contract. Minimum 3 years teaching experience. Only Singaporeans need apply.

Requirements

·        Diploma/Degree in Special Education or equivalent

·        Must have at least 5 ‘O’ level credits, with at least a B grade in English

·        Minimum 3 years teaching experience working with children with special needs. Pre-school teachers with a strong interest in teaching children with special needs will be considered.

·        Experience writing Individual Education Plans (IEP)

·        Advantage if experienced using a curriculum

·        Have used assessment tools to gauge ability levels

·        Good communication and interpersonal skills

·        Dedicated, patient and understanding when working with children with special needs

Responsibilities

·        Develop and implement IEPs for each pupil and track progress accordingly

·        To plan and teach meaningful lessons

·        Prepare and use a varied choice of appropriate teaching and instructional aids to cater to the different levels of learning abilities

·        Manage behaviour

·        Good team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills

Employment Type

Part-time (9am-1pm); Monday to Friday – Fixed hours. 1-year contract.

Salary Range: $1300-1800 Basic Monthly Salary. Salary to commensurate with experience and qualifications.
