Speech and Language Pathologist - After School Contract Position

Job Summary
Communication Beginnings, LLC is seeking licensed Speech Therapists to join our team at our office location in Harrisburg, PA. As a member of our team, you will enjoy a flexible and supportive environment where you can help children in reaching their communicative potential. Candidates will provide one-on-one therapy sessions for pediatric clients in an office-setting. Communication Beginnings, LLC is a small, SLP-owned and operated company that values collaboration, compassionate care, and creativity. This 1099/contractor position allows for flexible scheduling, promoting work-life balance for any SLP.

We are seeking candidates for after school hours (3pm-6pm).

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement individual therapy sessions based on the client's plan of care.
• Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to promote cohesive treatment.
• Complete session notes, progress notes, re-evaluations, and any other related documentation in accordance to company policies and standards.
• Maintain a knowledge base of best-practices in the field of speech-language pathology.
• Educate families on strategies to support their child's communication development at home.
• Participate in paid, onboarding training with the company.
• Maintain licensure and other regulatory requirements (i.e., Child Abuse Clearnace, State Police Clearance, FBI clearance, Mandated Reporter).

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• 2 years experience working with pediatric populations is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of speech therapy techniques and patient assessment methods.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Strong time management skills.

Requirements

• Active PA Speech-Language Pathology licensure
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
• Up to date clearances: FBI, Child Abuse, PA State Police, Mandate Reporter
• Proof of active liability insurance
• Current CPR Training
