What they need
The Kent Denver Speech and Debate program is looking for assistant coaches for the 2026–2027 school year. The team is seeking candidates who are flexible and able to coach students across all speech and debate events, even if they specialize more heavily in one area. Candidates must be available for weekly practice hours during the school day and be able to attend weekend tournaments to judge and coach. While tournaments are mostly in-person events hosted locally around Denver, some are hosted online or involve national travel. Candidates should be excited to collaborate with other coaches and to mentor a variety of students with different skill levels and competitive goals. Additionally, coaches must hold a valid driver's license and may occasionally be asked to drive a bus of students to competition events.
Start date: Immediate
Stipend: $5,500-$6,750 depending on experience
Term: September 2026 through May 2027
