As a Speech Language Pathologist at Gulfside Health & Rehab, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population in a short-term rehabilitation and long-term skilled nursing setting. Our 76-bed facility is designed to provide a warm and welcoming environment for patients and staff alike.

About the Role:

• Provide speech-language pathology services to patients with communication and swallowing disorders
• Conduct evaluations, assessments, and interventions to address patients' communication and swallowing needs
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to ensure comprehensive care

Responsibilities:

• Conduct speech-language evaluations and assessments, including cognitive-communication and swallowing evaluations
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address patients' communication and swallowing needs
• Provide speech-language therapy interventions, including individual and group sessions
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists, physical therapists, and nurses
• Document patient progress and treatment plans in accordance with established guidelines
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology or related field
• State licensure in Speech Language Pathology
• Knowledge of adult and geriatric communication disorders and swallowing disorders
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
