Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare and educational team. Duties

• Assist licensed speech-language pathologists in implementing individualized speech therapy plans for clients of all ages, including children with early intervention needs and students with disabilities in school environments
• Support the delivery of speech therapy services through direct client interaction, including conducting therapy exercises and activities designed to improve language development, articulation, fluency, voice, and swallowing functions
• Help monitor client progress by documenting responses and communicating observations to supervising clinicians for ongoing assessment and plan adjustments
• Prepare therapy materials, resources, and assessments tailored to each client's specific needs, ensuring engaging and effective sessions
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including educators, occupational therapists, psychologists, and medical professionals—to support comprehensive care plans
• Participate in telehealth therapy sessions when required, utilizing digital platforms to deliver remote speech-language services effectively
• Maintain detailed records of therapy sessions, progress notes, and compliance documentation in accordance with organizational policies and regulations such as IEP (Individualized Education Program) requirements

Experience

• Prior experience working with children or students with disabilities in educational or clinical settings is highly preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to speech production and swallowing functions
• Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to speech-language pathology and acute care environments
• Experience supporting language disorders and implementing speech-language therapy plans effectively
• Exposure to working within multidisciplinary teams in pediatric or school-based settings is advantageous
• Previous telehealth therapy experience is a plus, showcasing adaptability across delivery methods
• Bilingual abilities are desirable to serve diverse populations effectively

Pay: $32.65 - $39.32 per hour
