Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant

Something 2 Talk About, Inc. (S2TA) is seeking a PRN Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our pediatric outpatient therapy team in Lanham, MD.

We are looking for a dependable, energetic, and child-focused SLPA who enjoys working with children and is interested in providing quality speech and language intervention in a supportive clinical environment.

Position Details

• Position: PRN Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
• Hours: Approximately 6–10 hours per week
• Schedule: Primarily evenings and weekends
• Location: Lanham, MD clinic
• Employment Type: PRN
• Pay: Hourly rate commensurate with experience and qualifications
• Population: Pediatric clients, primarily ages 3–10
• Experience with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), AAC, articulation/phonological disorders, and language disorders is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct speech and language therapy under the supervision of a licensed SLP.
• Implement individualized treatment plans and therapy activities developed by the supervising SLP.
• Collect and document accurate session data.
• Complete SOAP notes and required clinical documentation.
• Maintain an organized and engaging therapy environment.
• Follow S2TA clinical policies, procedures, and documentation standards.
• Communicate professionally with supervising SLPs, families, and other members of the therapy team.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with applicable professional and regulatory requirements.
• Attend required supervision, training, and staff meetings as applicable.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is:

• Licensed/eligible to practice as an SLPA in Maryland
• Reliable and able to commit to consistent evening and/or weekend availability
• Comfortable working independently while following the supervising SLP's plan of care
• Patient, energetic, and comfortable working with pediatric clients
• Organized and timely with documentation
• A strong communicator and team player
• Experience with ASD and/or AAC is preferred but not required
