Speech-Language Pathologist Clinical Fellow (CF)—In-Home Services

Beyond the Label Advocacy and Speech Therapy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathology Clinical Fellow to provide in-person therapy in clients’ homes. This paid position offers recent graduates the opportunity to gain clinical experience, receive mentorship and CF supervision, and help children and adults build meaningful communication skills within their everyday routines.

The ideal candidate enjoys working closely with clients and families, is comfortable traveling between homes, and is eager to grow professionally with a supportive team.

Duties

• Conduct speech and language evaluations in clients’ homes using appropriate assessments, clinical observations, and caregiver interviews.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans that address each client’s communication needs and priorities.
• Provide in-home therapy targeting speech sound production, receptive and expressive language, fluency, social communication, and functional communication, as appropriate.
• Incorporate play, familiar activities, and daily routines into treatment to support practical skill development.
• Support augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) use when appropriate, with guidance from the supervising SLP.
• Coach parents and caregivers on strategies they can use between sessions to support communication.
• Collaborate with the supervising SLP and other providers to coordinate care and monitor progress.
• Complete timely and accurate evaluations, session notes, progress reports, and other required documentation in the electronic medical record system.
• Maintain consistent communication with families and the administrative team regarding scheduling, attendance, and treatment needs.
• Participate in CF supervision, clinical feedback, and professional development activities.
• Travel between assigned client homes and maintain a dependable schedule.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in speech-language pathology from an accredited program.
• Eligibility to begin a Clinical Fellowship and obtain the applicable California authorization required to provide services.
• Clinical practicum experience with children and/or adults with communication needs.
• Interest in early intervention, developmental disabilities, autism, and family-centered care.
• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently in home settings while seeking guidance and incorporating supervisory feedback.
• Comfort adapting treatment activities to each client’s home environment, interests, and routines.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel within the assigned service area.
• Experience with AAC and electronic documentation systems is a plus.

Pay: $59.00 - $75.00 per hour
