Speech-Language Pathologist

1099 - Contract position

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive speech, language, voice, fluency, and feeding/swallowing evaluations for children and students.
• Develop and implement individualized, measurable treatment plans targeting articulation, language comprehension/expression, voice, fluency, social communication, and functional communication skills.
• Prepare and adapt therapy materials, utilize appropriate equipment and technology, and maintain a clean, safe, and engaging therapy environment.
• Document client progress, write clinical reports, and communicate regularly with caregivers, educators, and other healthcare professionals.
• Lead collaboration with families, school teams, and interdisciplinary providers to ensure consistency of goals and carryover across home, school, and community settings.
• Participate in meetings, team conferences, and case consultations to review treatment plans, progress updates, and next steps for each client.
• Ensure compliance with ethical, legal, and regulatory standards for speech-language pathology practice and documentation.

Experience

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program; current state licensure required (CCC-SLP preferred). Clinical Fellows (CFs) are encouraged to apply.
• Prior experience working with children or students in pediatric outpatient, early intervention, or school-based settings is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of child development, anatomy and physiology of speech and swallowing, and medical/educational terminology.
• Experience with early intervention services, the IEP process, and school-based documentation is advantageous.
• Demonstrated skill in evidence-based speech therapy techniques for pediatrics across various developmental stages and diagnoses.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, combined with patience, empathy, cultural responsiveness, and enthusiasm for helping children and families improve communication and participation.

Pay: $42.00 - $52.00 per hour
