What they need

Come join our growing, collaborative team of pediatric therapists! Robinson Speech and Pediatric Therapy is a growing, clinician-led pediatric therapy practice providing speech therapy, occupational therapy, early intervention, and other developmental services to children and families in their homes and communities. We are currently seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to join our developing multi-disciplinary team. We emphasize the importance of collaboration, consistency, and connection, with a focus on caregiver coaching and neurodiversity-affirming, strengths-based therapy for children and their families.

This position offers the opportunity to build a caseload that fits your preferred schedule and service area while working alongside a supportive team. New clinicians will begin with a smaller caseload that grows over time, with opportunities for mentorship, collaboration, and professional growth as your caseload develops.

Pay: This position is listed for $55-75/hour for therapy/admin time, and for $20/hour for drive time. Mileage reimbursement will also be provided.

Location: The general service areas for this position may include Thousand Oaks, Westlake Village, Oak Park, Newbury Park, Simi Valley, Moorpark, and Camarillo, and this is flexible depending on therapist preference.

Responsibilities

  • Complete speech-language assessments to evaluate children's communication strengths and needs, determine eligibility for speech-language services, and monitor progress throughout intervention. Assessment materials provided.
  • Complete assessment reports and documentation, including standardized scores, observations, parent interviews, medical/developmental history, and goals (if child qualifies for services).
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and provide evidence-based intervention for children with delays and disorders affecting receptive language, expressive language, speech sound production, pragmatic language, voice, fluency, and resonance.
  • Travel to patients' homes and communities to provide services (paid travel time and mileage reimbursement provided).
  • Provide parent coaching to promote carryover of skills between sessions and support communication and participation in everyday routines.
  • Complete all documentation and records in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Provide updates on patients' progress to families/caregivers.
  • Communicate with families and therapy team.
  • Comply with governing code of ethics.
  • Collaborate with the child's other therapists (if applicable) to ensure continuity of care - Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Child Development Specialists, and as part of the Regional Center IFSP team.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Must have passed the Praxis exam and be licensed to practice in California.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with clients and families of all ages and backgrounds.
  • Commitment to a neurodiversity, strengths-based approach to therapy.
  • Ability to work independently while actively seeking mentorship and collaborating with colleagues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Current CPR certification and negative TB test.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between client homes.
  • Bilingual English-Spanish speaker (preferred).
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and transport therapy materials and equipment weighing up to 20–30 pounds and perform the physical activities required for providing pediatric therapy in home and community settings.

If you're looking for a flexible, collaborative, and client-centered practice where your voice can make a meaningful impact, we'd love to hear from you!
