Speech-Language Pathologist

Provides full range of speech-language, communication, and dysphagia services to eligible patients with a broad range of diagnoses, including those with sensory impairments, augmentative/alternative communication needs.

Conducts age-appropriate clinical and functional speech-language/communication assessments, develops therapy treatment plans based upon assessment findings and patient/family input.

Provides advanced-level direct patient treatment, according to treatment plan. Updates treatment plan according to patient progress and established policies.

Serves as educator in appropriate areas to patients, families, clinic staff, school staff and others involved in patient care and programming.

Provides speech-language therapy services in a multi-disciplinary setting.

Supervises support personal in accordance to all local, state, and national guidelines.

Provides ongoing education to parents, families, educators, and other professionals regarding speech therapy and its impact on language, learning, and socialization. Provides information to parents and professionals regarding advances in the diagnosis and treatment.

Documents assessments, treatments, consultations, patient/family education, and all relevant and required patients care information in the electronic health record in an accurate and timely manner, in accordance with clinic policies

Participates in new staff orientation and ongoing staff education; and as requested by Department Manager, mentors and provides education on areas of expertise.

AZ Licensed Speech Language Pathologist
