Speech-Language Pathologist

Job Overview
UpWords Speech Therapy is a small, close-knit practice driven by one belief: every child deserves to be heard. We're a small team — which means you'll never be a number here. You'll shape the culture, influence how we grow, and work alongside people who genuinely care about each other and the families we serve. We're looking for a part-time SLP to join our team with a possible path to a full-time hybrid position combining school AND clinic settings. You'll provide evaluations, direct therapy, and collaborative consultation within both settings — bringing your full, authentic self to every session and every family interaction.

Responsibilities

• Conduct speech-language screenings and comprehensive evaluations (articulation, language, fluency, voice)
• Deliver individual and small-group therapy aligned with IEP goals
• Write and maintain IEPs, ETRs, and progress notes in compliance with IDEA and Ohio Operating Standards
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, special educators, and school psychologists
• Communicate progress warmly and regularly with families — making them feel like partners, not bystanders
• Bring your ideas to the table: we want to hear what's working and what could be better

What we're looking for:

• M.S. or M.A. in Speech-Language Pathology
• Familiarity with IEP process and IDEA compliance
• Comfort with pediatric caseloads across ages and needs
• ASHA CCC-SLP (or CF with supervision available)
• Ohio SLP license (or ability to obtain)
• Ohio Educator License (or ability to obtain)
• School-based experience preferred
