What they need

Philadelphia, PA | 2026–2027 School Year | Full-Time or Part-Time

Birch Tree Therapies is hiring for school-based speech-language positions in Philadelphia! Experienced SLPs, Clinical Fellows, and qualified SLPAs are encouraged to apply. Full-time availability is preferred, but we also welcome part-time applicants.

Bilingual Spanish-English skills are a strong plus, but are not required.

Whether you’re beginning your career or looking for a more supportive school-based team, we’d love to connect.

A Company Built by Therapists, for Therapists

Birch Tree Therapies is a women- and minority-owned company founded and operated by practicing school-based therapists. We work in schools alongside our team, so we understand that providing meaningful services takes more than scheduling therapy sessions.

We value dependable clinicians, strong relationships, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving. You’ll have access to experienced leadership, practical guidance, and a team that knows you by name.

Our team offers:

  • Paid documentation time
  • Clinical Fellowship mentorship and supervision
  • Support with scheduling, evaluations, IEPs, and school-based procedures
  • Therapy materials and resources
  • Collaboration with fellow clinicians and school teams
  • Ongoing communication about caseload needs and workload
  • Opportunities for professional growth and leadership

New to schools? You don’t have to figure everything out on your own. School-based experience is preferred, but we welcome clinicians who are ready to learn with guidance and support.

About the Role

SLPs and Clinical Fellows provide speech-language services to school-aged students, including:

  • Individual and group therapy
  • Evaluations, reevaluations, and screenings
  • Functional, student-centered IEP goals
  • Participation in IEP meetings
  • Collaboration with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Accurate and timely documentation

SLPAs will be considered for supervised support positions. Responsibilities will be tailored to the assistant role and applicable requirements, rather than the full SLP responsibilities listed above.

Qualifications

For SLP and Clinical Fellow applicants:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current Pennsylvania licensure or eligibility for the appropriate credential
  • Pennsylvania teaching certification
  • ASHA CCC-SLP or eligibility to complete a Clinical Fellowship

For SLPA applicants:

  • Education, training, and credentials appropriate for a Pennsylvania school-based speech-language assistant position
  • Willingness to work under SLP supervision and within the responsibilities of the assistant role

For all applicants:

  • Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
  • A dependable, accountable approach to your work
  • A commitment to culturally responsive, strengths-based, and neurodiversity-affirming services

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation is based on the position, experience, credentials, bilingual proficiency, and other relevant qualifications.

We offer individualized W-2 employment packages. Depending on eligibility, employment status, and scheduled hours, benefits may include:

  • Health insurance contribution
  • Short-term disability and life insurance
  • Paid time off and sick time
  • Paid documentation time
  • Continuing education, travel, and materials stipends
  • Retirement plan with employer match
  • Clinical mentorship and ongoing support
