Speech Language PathologistMcGlynn Elementary Pre-K to 5th grade Work collaboratively as a member of an interdisciplinary team; provide evaluation and intervention services for students with speech, language, and hearing disorders and help students access educational and social curricula.This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to join our school-based teams.Experience working in public school setting as well as experience working with students with social-emotional-behavioral needs preferredThe appropriate candidate will work closely with special education staff to address the needs of students in PreK to middle school.Responsibilities: Provide instructional supports and strategies for special education students according to IDEA requirements.Attend IEP meetings/staffing and other meetings as requestedSupport teachers in developing and; implementing social and language-based supportsComplete needed paperwork and job-related functions in a timely mannerDevelop and maintain schedule including intervention and Team meetingsGather, collate and/or classify data; generate reports and consider a wide variety of factorsUtilize a variety of job-related equipment and assistive technology and AACRoutinely attend district and school-based meetings, training and professional developmentCompliance with existing laws and professional ethicsMaintenance of appropriate continuing education credits, as well as state licensureOther duties as requested by the Coordinator of Related Services, Pupil Personnel Director, orBuilding PrincipalTravel to more than one work location in the course of the day may be requiredQUALIFICATIONS: Degree in Speech/language Pathology from an accredited program.Certification achieved by passing the national certification board examination.Licensed or eligible for licensure by the State of MassachusettsMA State Certification/Licensed SLPSalary in accordance with the Medford Teachers Association Union contract: https://resources.finalsite.net/images/v1748907946/mps02155org/ojucu0g0wo9axcmcc9e1/MTAFY26-FY28CBAJuly12025-August312028SignedMay192025CorrectedJune22025.pdf
