In this skilled nursing role, you'll help residents strengthen communication, use cognitive strategies during daily routines, and address swallowing needs through individualized rehabilitation.

What You'll Do

• Complete evaluations of speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities.
• Establish treatment plans that connect assessment findings with residents' functional goals.
• Provide therapy for expressing needs, understanding information, attention, memory, and everyday problem-solving.
• Treat swallowing disorders and share appropriate recommendations with nursing and dietary colleagues.
• Train residents and caregivers in practical techniques they can use beyond treatment sessions.
• Track progress, update clinical documentation, and collaborate on care planning and discharge needs.

Qualifications

• Active Maryland Speech-Language Pathologist license.
