Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)

Role Overview: The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) provides direct speech therapy rehabilitation to patients in a skilled nursing facility setting.

Responsibilities

• Assess, establish, and modify patient goals based on individual needs.
• Implement and follow treatment plans in compliance with laws, regulations, and standards.
• Chart patient progress accurately and timely, utilizing therapy software.
• Supervise and evaluate Speech-Language Pathology Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates if applicable.
• Engage with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care.
• Participate in community health projects as appropriate.
• Maintain professional relationships, confidentiality, and adhere to company policies and ethical standards.
• Perform physical activities such as sitting, standing, lifting, and moving patients as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduate from an accredited speech therapy program (MS or MA).
• ASHA certification (CCC) or eligibility for CFY; must maintain certification.
• Current licensure in applicable state; CPR certification preferred.
• Preferred experience in post-acute care or similar settings.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and communication skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions, demonstrate good body mechanics, and work effectively in a team.
