Position: Speech-Language Pathologist

Job Overview: As a Speech-Language Pathologist at the Cardinal, you will play a vital role in assessing and treating communication disorders in individuals with diverse needs. Your expertise will be integral in creating individualized intervention plans and working collaboratively with a team of professionals, including behavior analysts, therapists, and educators, to achieve positive outcomes for our clients.

Responsibilities:

· Conduct thorough evaluations of clients' communication abilities and identify speech and language disorders.

· Develop customized treatment plans tailored to the specific needs and goals of each client.

· Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques to improve communication skills, including articulation, language comprehension, fluency, and social communication.

· Monitor and document clients' progress, making necessary adjustments to intervention strategies as needed.

· Collaborate with behavior analysts, occupational therapists, and other professionals to ensure integrated and holistic care for clients.

· Provide guidance and support to families and caregivers, offering resources to promote consistent communication strategies at home and in other environments.

· Participate in regular team meetings, sharing insights and contributing to interdisciplinary discussions.

· Stay abreast of the latest research and advancements in the field of speech-language pathology, incorporating best practices into your therapy approaches.

Qualifications:

· Master's or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.

· State licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.

· ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) certification is preferred.

· Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is advantageous.

· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to effectively collaborate with a diverse team of professionals.

· Demonstrated ability to develop and implement personalized therapy plans that lead to positive outcomes.

· Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for helping individuals with communication challenges.
