Overview

As a School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist, you’ll evaluate students’ communication needs, develop and implement treatment plans, and monitor progress toward IEP goals. What You Have

• Master’s degree in speech-language pathology from an accredited program
• Experience working with children preferred
• Pass the Praxis Examination in Speech-Language Pathology
• Maintain license per ASHA requirements
• Additional state teaching certification or credential may be required
• Ability to pass a background check

What You’ll Be Doing

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students’ articulation, fluency, voice, and expressive and receptive language
• Develop and implement speech and language therapy plans aligned with IEP goals and educational needs
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and contribute to the IEP process
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and progress
• Provide expertise in assistive technology and communication strategies
• Participate in team meetings, provide staff training, and mentor or supervise assistants or students as appropriate
