Key Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
• Current SLP license in Maryland, or eligibility to obtain
• Experience working in K-12 schools preferred
• Strong ability to create and follow individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Effective communication with students, families, and educational staff
• Organizational skills and adaptability in a school-based setting

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations and assessments of students’ speech, language, and communication abilities
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, counselors, and other school professionals to maximize student progress
• Provide direct therapy to students individually and in small groups
• Maintain documentation in accordance with school and state regulations
• Consult with families to support carryover of communication strategies at home
• Contribute to IEP meetings and multidisciplinary teams
