This role is a good fit for an SLPA who enjoys school-based therapy but wants consistent clinical support, access to an SLP-focused team, and the ability to focus primarily on therapy rather than campus duties.

Our goal is to give SLPAs the advantages of working in a school setting while providing the support, collaboration, and clinical connection of a therapy-focused organization.

What You'll Do

As an SLPA with SPTS, you will:

  • Provide speech and language therapy under the direction and supervision of a licensed SLP
  • Implement evidence-based treatment activities addressing goals and objectives outlined in each student's IEP
  • Provide individual and group therapy as assigned
  • Collect and maintain accurate data during therapy sessions
  • Complete timely and accurate documentation for services provided
  • Communicate regularly with your supervising SLP regarding student progress, treatment needs, and clinical questions
  • Collaborate professionally with teachers, school staff, families, supervisors, and other members of the student's educational team as appropriate
  • Participate in meetings, supervision, training, and professional development activities
  • Use electronic systems for email, scheduling, documentation, and access to special education records
  • Maintain professional verbal and written communication
  • Complete other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or an equivalent field meeting Texas SLPA licensure requirements
  • Current Texas Speech-Language Pathology Assistant license, or ability to obtain licensure prior to beginning clinical services
  • Availability to work approximately 35–40 hours per week
  • Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with supervisors and school-based teams
  • Interest in continued professional learning and development

Preferred

  • Two or more years of pediatric speech therapy experience
  • Previous school-based experience
  • Experience providing individual and group speech-language therapy
  • Fluency in Spanish and English
