Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)

Schedule: Approximately 2 days per week, with potential for additional hours

Texas Therapy Consultants is seeking a motivated and dependable Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide school-based speech and language services to students in Houston, TX.

This is a part-time opportunity with an anticipated schedule of approximately 2 days per week. Additional hours may become available based on student needs, including compensatory/make-up sessions and potential caseload growth.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech and language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
• Implement treatment plans and IEP goals as directed by the supervising SLP.
• Provide individual and small-group therapy sessions.
• Collect and document student performance data.
• Complete accurate and timely session documentation and progress notes.
• Communicate with the supervising SLP and school team regarding student progress and concerns.
• Assist with scheduling and completion of regular and make-up therapy sessions.
• Maintain student confidentiality and comply with school, FERPA, and company requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related qualifying field.
• Current Texas SLPA license or eligibility for Texas SLPA licensure.
• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively with children in a school-based setting.
• Dependable transportation to the Houston, TX 77004 area.
• School-based or pediatric experience preferred, but not required.
