What they need

Speech Pathologist

Ready to Do Work That Actually Matters? Come Grow With Us.

Whether you’re an experienced clinician looking for your next meaningful challenge, or an early-career Speech Pathologist ready to develop your skills in a genuinely supportive environment. We would love to hear from you!

About Us

South Australia Speech and Hearing Centre (SASHC) provides speech pathology, audiology and counselling services to children and adults across greater Adelaide, with clinics in Cumberland Park and Mawson Lakes.

We’re passionate about delivering high-quality, accessible care and building a team of clinicians who genuinely enjoy what they do.

Our team works alongside medical specialists, counsellors and allied health professionals, and we also provide ASD diagnostic services and an Allied Health Assistant (AHA) intervention service to further support our clients and families.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Speech Pathologist to join our multidisciplinary team at Mawson Lakes.

One of the things that makes working at SASHC a little different is our working week. While our clinics are open five days, our full-time clinicians work their hours across four days per week (7:50am–6:10pm). That means a built-in weekday off every week!

We’re also very happy to consider part-time arrangements if that works better for you.

For experienced clinicians, there are genuine opportunities to lead, mentor and help shape the future direction of our services.

If you’re earlier in your career, you’ll have access to structured mentoring, clinical supervision and a team that genuinely invests in your development.

What You’ll Do

Depending on your experience and interests, your role may include:

  • Conducting paediatric speech and language assessments and providing evidence-based intervention.

  • Delivering school, kindergarten and childcare-based screening programs, with potential future opportunities for rural and remote outreach.

  • Facilitating group programs alongside other clinicians and AHAs.

  • Be a part of implementing our Preschool Boost menu.

  • Developing and reviewing intervention plans and working collaboratively with our Allied Health Assistants to deliver delegated therapy programs.

  • Contributing your ideas and expertise to the ongoing development of our clinical services.

  • For senior clinicians, mentoring and supporting junior members of the team.

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Holds a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech Pathology and meets the requirements for practising membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
  • Is passionate about evidence-based, innovative and individualised clinical care.
  • Communicates with clarity and warmth with clients, families and colleagues.
  • Manages their time well and is comfortable working in a busy, evolving clinical environment.
  • Values genuine multidisciplinary collaboration in intervention and diagnosis.
  • Holds a current driver’s licence and has reliable transport.
  • Holds the required working-with-children and employment clearances, or is willing to obtain them.

We’re open to clinicians at all stages of their career but would prefer clinicians with at least 1 year of working experience. What matters most to us is excellent clinical practice, a willingness to keep learning, and a genuine commitment to making a difference for the people we support.

Why SASHC?

At SASHC, we want our clinicians to have the time, support and opportunities they need to do great work — while still having a life outside of work.

  • A four-day full-time week – work your full-time hours across four days, with a weekday off every week.
  • Protected administration time and full administrative support.
  • Genuine clinical support from our Clinical Lead Speech Pathologist, alongside internal and external mentoring.
  • Career progression with opportunities to move into senior, mentoring and leadership roles.
  • Professional development that is genuinely supported, including regular PD sessions during school holiday periods and an annual paid PD package.
  • A truly multidisciplinary environment, working across speech pathology, audiology, counselling, ASD assessment and AHA-supported intervention.
  • A voice in how we grow – we actively encourage our clinicians to contribute ideas and help shape the future direction of our services.
  • A close-knit team that values connection, collaboration and supporting one another.

📩 Ready to Apply?

If this sounds like the kind of team you’d like to be part of, we’d love to hear from you.

We encourage suitable candidates to reach out before applying. You’re more than welcome to meet the team and spend some time with us to see whether SASHC is the right fit for you — and whether you’re the right fit for us.

For questions about the role, please contact us on [08 8272 9997](tel:08 8272 9997) or e-mail Ciara at [email protected]

Please apply through Seek.

We do not accept unsolicited resumes or applications from recruitment agencies and/or search firms and will not pay fees to any such organisations.

Applications close 3 November 2026 unless the position is filled earlier.
