About Holistic In-Home Care

Holistic In-Home Care is a growing community care organisation providing personalised in-home support, nursing and care services across South Australia, Victoria and the Northern Territory.

We work alongside established aged care providers to deliver reliable, high-quality services that help older Australians remain safe, independent and comfortable in their own homes.

Our approach is centred on dignity, choice, independence and improving quality of life.

As we continue to expand our allied health services, we are seeking passionate and experienced Speech Pathologists to join our Adelaide team.

About the Role

We are looking for Speech Pathologists to provide community-based services to older Australians living independently at home.

You will assess clients’ communication and swallowing needs, identify areas of difficulty, and provide practical strategies and interventions that support communication, participation, safety and quality of life.

This role offers flexibility to manage your availability and caseload while working collaboratively with our nursing team, care coordinators and referring aged care providers.

Whether you're looking to supplement your existing workload or build a regular community caseload, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct speech pathology assessments in clients’ homes and community settings.
  • Develop personalised therapy plans based on clients’ needs and goals.
  • Assess and support communication, speech, language and swallowing needs.
  • Provide practical strategies to support communication and participation in daily activities.
  • Assess swallowing and provide appropriate recommendations to support safe eating and drinking.
  • Work collaboratively with clients, families, support workers and other health professionals.
  • Maintain accurate clinical notes, reports and client documentation.

About You

We are seeking a compassionate, organised and motivated Speech Pathologist who enjoys working independently in the community.

You will have strong clinical reasoning, excellent communication skills and a genuine interest in helping older Australians maintain their communication, participation and quality of life.

You will be confident managing your own appointments, completing assessments and providing practical, evidence-informed recommendations.

Previous experience in community aged care, dysphagia, communication disorders or adult rehabilitation will be highly regarded.

Essential Requirements

  • Recognised tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology
  • Current Speech Pathology Australia membership and eligibility to practise as a Speech Pathologist in Australia.
  • Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • Current Police Check
  • Current Working with Children Check.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Australian driver’s licence and reliable vehicle.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently in clients’ homes and community settings.

What We Offer

  • Flexible casual hours with the opportunity to build towards part-time work.
  • Home and community-based work with a varied client base.
  • Supportive and collaborative team environment.
  • Opportunity to make a meaningful difference in clients’ communication, safety and quality of life.
  • Variety in your work, with autonomy and flexibility in service delivery.
