Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Speech Pathology Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will support licensed speech-language pathologists in delivering comprehensive speech therapy services to diverse populations, including children and individuals with disabilities. Your expertise will help improve communication skills, support language development, and enhance overall quality of life for clients across various settings. Duties

• Assist speech-language pathologists in implementing individualized therapy plans focused on speech disorders, language delays, and communication challenges.
• Support clients during therapy sessions, including children with disabilities and those receiving early intervention services.
• Conduct speech-language screenings and collect data on client progress under supervision.
• Support clients with language development activities tailored for pediatrics and school-aged populations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including educators, occupational therapists, and medical professionals—to ensure cohesive care delivery.
• Prepare therapy materials, assist with telehealth sessions, and maintain accurate documentation of client interactions.
• Support clients’ understanding of physiology and anatomy relevant to their communication needs while ensuring clear client communication.

Requirements

• Prior experience working with children, students with disabilities, or in pediatric healthcare settings is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of speech-language pathology principles, including speech disorders support, language disorders support, and speech therapy plan implementation.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, physiology, and anatomy related to speech and swallowing functions.
• Experience working in acute care environments or school settings is advantageous.
• Ability to communicate effectively with bilingual clients or families; bilingual skills are a plus.
• Strong understanding of early intervention strategies and IEP (Individualized Education Program) processes.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams in speech-language pathology or related fields.

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
