Speech Therapist

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for improving communication abilities and enhancing quality of life for diverse patient populations. This role involves providing comprehensive speech and language assessments, developing tailored therapy plans, and delivering evidence-based interventions across various settings, adult, and geriatric care. Duties

• Conduct detailed speech and language evaluations to identify communication disorders across different age groups, adults with speech impairments.
• Develop individualized therapy plans that target specific speech, language, voice, fluency, or cognitive-communication goals in accordance with best practices and patient needs.
• Implement therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based techniques, including speech therapy and language therapy strategies tailored for pediatric populations and individuals with disabilities.
• Collaborate closely with families, caregivers, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive care plans and effective parent or caregiver training.
• Utilize electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems to document assessments, treatment progress, and clinical notes accurately and efficiently.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments that include physiology knowledge, anatomy understanding, and medical terminology to inform diagnosis and treatment approaches.
• Provide telehealth therapy services when appropriate, ensuring seamless delivery of remote speech-language pathology interventions.
• Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and standards while fostering a compassionate environment focused on patient care and communication improvement.

Skills

• Extensive experience working with pediatric populations in early intervention or school settings is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to develop and implement effective speech-language therapy plans for individuals with speech impairments or language delays.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to speech-language pathology.
• Demonstrated proficiency in conducting comprehensive evaluations and interpreting assessment results accurately.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities across diverse settings including schools, clinics, or hospitals.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and delivering remote therapy sessions effectively.
• Excellent collaboration skills to work within multidisciplinary teams such as occupational therapists, psychologists, educators, and medical professionals.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to patients of all ages and their families while fostering an inclusive environment for diverse populations.

Pay: From $66.00 per hour
