Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Speech Therapist to join our team. As a Speech Therapist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive speech therapy services to patients in their home setting. Your expertise in patient care, physiology knowledge, and speech therapy techniques will be essential in helping patients improve their communication and swallowing abilities.

Duties:

• Conduct patient assessments to determine speech and language disorders

• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs

• Provide therapy sessions to improve speech, language, and swallowing skills

• Utilize various techniques and exercises to enhance communication abilities

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care

• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary

• Educate patients and their families on speech therapy techniques and strategies

• Maintain accurate documentation of patient evaluations, progress notes, and treatment plans

• Participate in case management meetings to discuss patient care strategies

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to speech and swallowing functions

• Proficiency in conducting patient assessments and developing treatment plans

• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals

• Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to speech therapy

• Ability to provide critical care interventions for patients with acute speech or swallowing difficulties

• Familiarity with various speech therapy techniques and exercises

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders

• Valid state license or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist

• Previous experience in a home health is preferred
