Speech Therapist PRN

Job Title: Part Time/PRN Speech Therapist
Location: Bayou Pines Care Center (New ownership/management as of August 1, 2024)

Responsibilities:

• Provide speech therapy services to residents in the nursing home on a part-time basis.
• Conduct assessments to determine the communication and swallowing needs of residents.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and resident goals.
• Implement therapy interventions to improve speech, language, and swallowing abilities.
• Monitor and document resident progress throughout the course of treatment.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and occupational therapists, to ensure comprehensive care.
• Provide education and training to residents, family members, and staff on speech therapy techniques and strategies.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of therapy sessions and resident outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Licensed as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Texas.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
• Previous experience working with geriatric populations in a healthcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of speech therapy techniques and interventions for communication and swallowing disorders.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.

License/Certification:

• License for Speech Therapy (Required)

Ability to Relocate:
