Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Spider crane operator to join our construction team. In this role, you will operate specialized spider cranes to lift, move, and position heavy materials with precision and safety. Your expertise will ensure smooth workflow on-site, supporting various construction activities and contributing to project success. Responsibilities

• Operate spider cranes safely and efficiently to lift, move, and position construction materials and equipment
• Conduct routine inspections of the crane before each shift to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
• Coordinate with site managers, riggers, and other team members to execute lifts accurately and on schedule
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain awareness of surroundings during crane operation
• Assist with materials handling, including loading and unloading supplies using forklifts or other machinery as needed
• Support shipping & receiving activities by ensuring proper documentation and secure handling of materials
• Maintain detailed records of crane operations, inspections, and any incidents or irregularities

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge of crane systems, hydraulics, and related machinery
• Valid commercial driving license with experience operating heavy vehicles such as excavators or forklifts
• Proven experience in construction environments with a focus on materials handling and heavy lifting
• Familiarity with warehouse operations, shipping & receiving procedures, and logistics coordination
• Ability to operate excavators, forklifts, and other construction equipment safely and effectively
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and site supervisors
• Commitment to safety standards, attention to detail, and proactive problem-solving abilities
