Job Summary

Our client, a reputable food manufacturing company specialising in the production of cheese balls and chinchin, is looking to hire an experienced Spinach Packaging Machine Operator.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and monitoring packaging equipment, maintaining product quality, and ensuring that daily production activities run smoothly. The ideal candidate should understand basic machine operations, pay close attention to detail, and follow proper food safety and hygiene practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor the spinach packaging machine to ensure smooth and efficient production.
• Adjust machine settings to ensure accurate filling, proper sealing, correct product weight, and quality packaging.
• Check packaged products for defects, proper sealing, accurate labelling, and compliance with quality standards.
• Carry out routine machine checks, handle minor technical issues, and report major faults to the appropriate team.
• Follow established food safety procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and workplace safety guidelines.
• Clean and sanitise the machine and surrounding work area before and after production, as well as when required during operations.
• Monitor production output, minimise packaging material wastage, and maintain accurate production records.
• Work closely with the Production, Quality Assurance, and Maintenance teams to meet daily production targets.
• Carry out other related duties as assigned by the Head of Department.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Minimum of SSCE. An OND or relevant technical qualification will be an added advantage.
• At least two years of practical experience operating packaging machines in a food manufacturing or FMCG environment.
• Previous experience operating a spinach packaging machine or similar automated packaging equipment is strongly preferred.
• Basic understanding of machine settings, packaging quality checks, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Good knowledge of food hygiene, GMP, and workplace safety procedures.
• Strong attention to detail, with a responsible and disciplined approach to work.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment and contribute to daily production targets.
