SPINNING MACHINE OPERATOR

Job Objective: Responsible for the set-up and operation of spin lathes to create and form parts.

Essential Job Functions:

• Ability to read and understand manufacturing work orders and complete documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
• Setup and operation of various machines such as hand spinning machines, hydro spinning machines and CNC spinning machines.
• Ability to use a variety of tools to form parts.
• Inspect parts against blueprints and specifications using measuring tools; ensuring product meets specified quality standards and correct dimensions.
• Frequently lifts 15 – 25lbs, lifts 50 – 70lbs throughout the workday.
• Ability to understand and follow instruction.
• Standing the entire the workday.
• Using body leverage to form and shape aluminum parts.
• Frequently bending twisting and squatting.
• Frequently walks throughout the shop.
• Good communications skills.

Work Environment

• Usual working days/hours: Monday thru Thursday 6:00am – 4:30pm; Friday 6:00am – 3:30pm. Working hours are subject to change based company needs, may require working on Saturdays.
• Manufacturing shop environment – Hot during summer months
• High noise level.
• Physically demanding job

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 Years setting up and operating a Spinning Machine a plus.
• Good mechanical skills.
• Good math aptitude with the ability to add and subtract decimals.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week

• Hydro Spinning Machine: 3 years (Preferred)
• Manufacturing: 2 years (Required)
