Spot Welder/Welder

About the role

This is a production welding role in a manufacturing environment. You will perform spot welding and welding operations according to work instructions, drawings, and specifications, while meeting daily production targets. Work is primarily performed in a manufacturing/production environment and may involve standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Perform spot welding and welding operations according to work instructions, drawings, specifications, production schedules and achieve daily production targets
• Set up and operate welding machines, equipment, and related tools safely and correctly
• Inspect materials and components before welding to ensure they meet production requirements
• Ensure proper welding position, alignment, strength, and appearance of welded components
• Check completed welding work for defects such as cracks, weak joints, burn marks, improper alignment, or incomplete welds
• Follow all company safety rules, procedures, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping of the work area in accordance with 5S requirements
• Report any machine problems, material defects, safety concerns, or quality issues to the supervisor
• Assist with other production tasks or duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor or Management

Requirement

• Minimum SPM / equivalent qualification
• Previous experience in welding, spot welding, or manufacturing environment is an advantage
• Able to operate basic welding equipment and hand tools
• Able to read and understand basic work instructions or drawings
• Physically fit and able to perform repetitive production work
• Good attention to safety and product quality
• Willing to work overtime when required
• Able to work independently as well as in a team
• Good hand-eye coordination
• Quality-conscious and detail-oriented
