Spray Coating / Bedliner Technician

Bass-Maxx is a Texas-based manufacturer specializing in automotive speaker and subwoofer enclosures and related products. We are looking for a Spray Coating / Bedliner Technician to join our production team in League City.

The Position

This position is responsible for applying our textured protective coating to MDF speaker and subwoofer enclosures in a production environment.

Enclosures arrive at the Spray department assembled, sanded, filled, and ready for coating. There is no sanding or bodywork-style preparation required as part of this position.

We coat speaker and subwoofer enclosures — not vehicles or truck beds.

The technician is responsible for producing a clean, even, and consistent finish while maintaining an efficient production pace.

Previous professional spray experience is required. Relevant experience may include spray-in bedliner, automotive paint or coatings, industrial coatings, protective coatings, professional paint spraying, or similar spray applications.

Responsibilities

• Apply spray-on protective coating to speaker and subwoofer enclosures
• Produce consistent texture, coverage, and finish from product to product
• Properly mix and handle coating materials
• Set up and adjust professional spray equipment
• Adjust spray patterns, material flow, and application technique as needed
• Maintain an efficient production pace without sacrificing quality
• Inspect finished products for uneven coverage, thin areas, runs, missed areas, overspray, contamination, or other finish defects
• Troubleshoot common spray and coating issues
• Correct coating issues before products move forward in production
• Clean and maintain spray guns, equipment, spray area, and workspace
