Spray Painter

1. Remove any rust by using medium grit emery paper and clean up the debris. Wipe it down one last time with a Damp sponge and allow the surface to dry.

2. Allow the surface to fully dry. Clean any area that missed and still have loose paint or that are rough. Some metal surface requires multiple applications of cleaning solution and scrubbing.

3. Use polyester putty for filling or surface preparation where necessary.

4. Prime the metal surface using oil based primer that is specially designed for application on metal. Allow the primer to fully dry. Some oil based primers require at least 24 hours before topcoat application.

5. Determine whether or not the first coat of primer has killed all oxidation and remaining rust areas. If there are any orange or black spots coming through the primer, must need to apply a second coat of primer and allow it to dry.

6. Apply the first coat of oil based paint directly over the primed surface using sprayer, paint roller, or paint brush.

7. Apply second and final coat after the first coat has dried for 24 hours. Refrain from using any water or cleaning products on the surface for at least one week.

8. Utilizing all types of painting materials such as enamel, latex, epoxy, water proofing, varnish, lacquer and heat resistant finishes.

9. Operates, cleans and maintains all painting equipment, including brush, roller, Sprayer and pumps etc. Safely stores all material and equipment’s.

10. Able to do Fiber Glass application work.

11. Ensure Compliance of all HSE, HACCP, ISO 22000/9001/14000 & 45001 related guidelines related to his area of responsibility.
