SPRAY TECHNICIAN

Responsible for preparing component surfaces and applying liquid, powder coating, or primers to various materials (metals) using automatic or handheld spray guns while adhering to quality and safety standards

Responsibilities

• Surface Preparation: Clean, degrease, sand, mask, and remove rust or imperfections from surfaces before spraying.
• Equipment Operation: Set up, calibrate, and operate handheld spray guns, powder coating machines, or automatic spray booths.
• Chemical Mixing: Select and mix paints, thinners, primers, or coating liquids according to exact color and thickness specifications.
• Quality Inspection: Inspect dry coatings for evenness, runs, or blemishes; measure paint thickness using gauges.
• Maintenance: Regularly clean nozzles, lines, and spray guns to prevent clogging and ensure consistent production
