Spray Technician - Weed Control

Gambara Pty Ltd is a proudly 100% Indigenous-owned Western Australian business specialising in weed control, vegetation management and environmental services. As our business continues to grow, we are seeking a qualified and motivated Spray Technician to join our experienced team on a casual basis.

This role involves weed control and vegetation management across a variety of projects including civil construction sites, road reserves, bushland restoration areas, local government contracts and infrastructure projects throughout the Perth metropolitan area.

What You’ll Be Doing:

·      Conducting weed control using both chemical and manual methods

·      Applying herbicides safely and effectively across various environments

·      Maintaining and operating spraying and vegetation control equipment

·      Identifying invasive weed species, pest and diseases

·      Contributing to environmentally responsible land care and restoration efforts

What We Are Looking For:

·      Solid knowledge of native and invasive plant species

·      Experience using spray rigs, 4WD vehicles, chainsaws and brush cutters etc

·      Confidence working independently and as part of a team

·      Strong attention to detail and a proactive work ethic

·      Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in various conditions

You’ll Need To Have:

·      A valid WA Pest Management Technician Licence - Lawn, Gardens, Landscaping & Bushland

·      Demonstrated weed control experience

·      Drivers Licence

·      Construction White Card

·      Complete a pre-employment medical assessment and Drug and alcohol screen
