Spring Internship - Dimensional Inspection

Internship Summary As an intern on ATS’s Dimensional Inspection team, you will gain hands-on experience with technologies such as coordinate measuring machines (CMMs), vision inspection systems, laser scanners, portable CMMs, and industrial computed tomography (CT). The internship is going to include direct hands-on product inspection work to utilize your knowledge and gain great experience in the industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist engineers and technicians with dimensional inspection projects in the laboratory.
• Support inspections using CMMs, vision systems, laser scanners, portable CMMs, industrial CT, and other precision measurement equipment.
• Interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and basic geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) requirements.
• Assist with equipment setup, part handling, data collection, and basic analysis of inspection results.
• Learn and follow applicable inspection procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements.
