This is a hands‑on trade role where you'll work independently and as part of a team to deliver safe, compliant, high‑quality fire protection services across a wide range of sites.

About the role:

In this role, you will:

  • Work across systems including gas flood, drencher, pre‑action, charged riser, and other fire suppression systems
  • Attend sites to complete inspections, testing, and installation work in line with NZ Standards and company guidelines
  • Identify and report remedial works arising from maintenance inspections
  • Coordinate activities to meet site requirements and client programmes
  • Maintain accurate documentation, job sheets, time sheets, and as‑built drawings
  • Communicate effectively with the Fire Sprinkler Manager, Project Manager, and wider fire protection team
  • Ensure all work meets specification, quality, and statutory requirements
  • Champion safe work practices and maintain a safe working environment
  • Participate in after‑hours call‑outs on a rotating basis

About you:

  • Relevant industry experience in fire protection
  • Strong knowledge of sprinkler standards and installation practices
  • Experience in commercial and industrial installation and maintenance
  • Ability to complete fault‑finding, diagnostics and remedial work
  • Experience using hand and power tools
  • Strong commitment to Health & Safety and safe work practices
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
  • Good communication skills and a professional, reliable approach
  • Current NZ Driver Licence
