SPV Accounting

About the role

We are seeking an experienced SPV Accounting to join the accounting team at Absolute Digital. This is a full-time position based in Medan, North Sumatra. As SPV Accounting, you will play a crucial supervisory and leadership role within our accounting department, overseeing daily accounting operations and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and company policies. This position is fundamental to maintaining the financial integrity of our organisation and directly supports the strategic financial objectives of Absolute Digital.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the daily activities of the accounting team, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial records
• Review and validate accounting transactions, journal entries, and financial statements for accuracy and completeness
• Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure efficient cash flow management
• Prepare and reconcile general ledger accounts on a regular basis
• Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal control procedures
• Train, coach and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance on accounting principles and company procedures
• Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities in a timely manner
• Liaise with internal departments and external auditors to facilitate financial audits and reviews
• Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or leadership role
• Formal qualification in accounting or finance (such as a degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field)
• Professional certification such as Indonesian Chartered Accountant (Akuntan Publik) or equivalent is preferred
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards (IFRS/PSAK) and Indonesian tax regulations
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in both Indonesian and English
• Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all financial matters
