SQL & Integration Engineer

We are seeking an experienced SQL & Integration Engineer with 5+ years of experience in data integration, ETL engineering, and SQL development to support the ingestion and management of Configuration Items (CIs) from in-store systems into a ServiceNow-based aggregator platform. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SQL, ETL, data mapping, API/file-based integrations, data validation, and troubleshooting, along with a basic understanding of ServiceNow CMDB and Discovery. The role will focus on building reliable data pipelines, maintaining CI data quality, documenting integration workflows, and collaborating with ServiceNow platform teams to ensure accurate and consistent CI data across systems.

Skill / Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Data Integration, ETL Engineering, SQL Engineering, or a similar technical role.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, including complex queries, joins, data extraction, and data validation.
• Hands-on experience with ETL tools, data pipelines, and data mapping.
• Strong understanding of API-based and file-based integration patterns.
• Experience with data profiling, analysis, anomaly identification, and data quality validation.
• Basic understanding of ServiceNow CMDB and Discovery.
• Experience designing scalable and enterprise-grade integration solutions is preferred.
• Exposure to retail or in-store technology environments is an advantage.
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) or relevant integration certification is preferred.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain ETL/data pipelines to extract, transform, and load Configuration Item (CI) data from source systems into the ServiceNow aggregator.
• Develop and maintain ETL mappings to ensure accurate, consistent, and complete CI data transfer.
• Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries for data extraction, validation, and analysis.
• Collaborate with ServiceNow platform teams to align CI data structures with CMDB schema requirements.
• Develop and support API-based and file-based integrations between enterprise systems.
• Identify and troubleshoot data discrepancies, integration failures, and data-quality issues.
• Perform source-data profiling and validation to identify anomalies and improve data completeness and accuracy.
• Support scalable integration patterns and contribute to integration strategy and architecture initiatives.
• Document integration workflows, data mappings, technical specifications, and operational procedures.
• Ensure reliable data ingestion and maintain high standards of CI data quality across integrated systems.
