Sql Developer

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled SQL Developer with 12 years of experience in MSSQL and MySQL. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of SQL development, database management, query optimization, and performance tuning. The candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining database solutions, troubleshooting SQL-related issues, and ensuring optimal database performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and database objects.
• Work with Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL) and MySQL databases.
• Perform SQL query optimization and performance tuning.
• Analyze execution plans and identify slow-running queries and performance bottlenecks.
• Create and maintain stored procedures, views, functions, CTEs, temporary tables, and table variables.
• Support database migration, data validation, and integration activities.
• Monitor database performance and troubleshoot database-related issues.
• Work with SQL Server Agent jobs and scheduled database processes.
• Perform database backup, restoration, and basic recovery activities.
• Identify and resolve data-related issues while maintaining data accuracy and integrity.
• Collaborate with developers, application teams, and other stakeholders to resolve database issues.
• Follow database development standards, security practices, and documentation guidelines.

Required Skills

• 1–2 years of hands-on experience as a SQL Developer / Database Developer.
• Strong knowledge of MSSQL / Microsoft SQL Server.
• Good working knowledge of MySQL.
• Strong SQL query writing and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with Stored Procedures, Functions, Views, CTEs, Temporary Tables, and Table Variables.
• Knowledge of SQL Performance Tuning and Query Optimization.
• Understanding of Execution Plans, Indexes, and Statistics.
• Basic knowledge of SQL Server Agent, Database Backup and Restore.
• Understanding of database migration concepts.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have

• Experience with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
• Knowledge of database monitoring and performance tools.
• Exposure to scripting or automation.
• Basic understanding of database security, permissions, and access control.
• Exposure to cloud databases such as Azure SQL is an advantage.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
