SQL Server Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain databases using Microsoft SQL Server.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and views.
• Perform database performance tuning and query optimization.
• Develop and maintain indexes, triggers, and database objects.
• Analyze execution plans and troubleshoot slow-running queries.
• Design database schemas, tables, relationships, and constraints.
• Implement data integrity, security, and access control.
• Support database troubleshooting, debugging, and production issues.
• Work closely with backend developers, business analysts, QA, and reporting teams.
• Participate in database deployments, code reviews, and documentation.

Required Skills (Must-Haves)

• 8+ years’ experience with Microsoft SQL Server ( mandatory and no substitution of Oracle or other DBs).
• 7+ years’ experience with Data modeling and database design.
• 7+ years’ experience in developing of DB objects like tables, views, complex stored procedures, and user defined functions.
• 7+ years’ experience with performance tuning of SQL Queries.
• 3+ years’ Agile development
• Experience with Tableau reporting
• Experience with ETL
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Excellent knowledge of SQL, T-SQL, joins, subqueries, CTEs, and window functions.
• Experience developing stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers.
• Strong understanding of indexing, execution plans, and query optimization.
• Experience with database design, normalization, and relational database concepts.
• Knowledge of transactions, locking, blocking, and deadlock troubleshooting.
• Experience with database backup, recovery, and performance monitoring.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
