• Experience writing test reports
• Experience testing database data
• Experience combining multiple sets of data and applying business rules/logic
• Ability to write SQL queries from scratch

Title: SQL Systems Analyst

Location(s): 100% on site in Washington, DC

Duration: 6 months contract to hire

Pay rate on contract: $32 - $42 per hour contingent upon experience

Job Description: We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Systems Analyst to join our team in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will support our clients by providing strategic guidance for new applications or the enhancement of existing ones. This role involves analyzing client requirements and developing recommendations for system solutions through development, system improvements, and operational optimizations. This is a new position on the program, supporting the review of an existing environment and its future transformation.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate, analyze, and resolve routine and advanced problems in selected functional areas.
• Assess, gather, and evaluate client application requirements.
• Analyze, design, develop, implement, and maintain a variety of client environments or solutions.
• Coordinate work with developers, testers, operations, engineers, and clients as required.
• Write technical documentation, including analysis sheets and specification documents for solutions and enhancements.
• Handle portions of larger projects, including data development, analysis, and client interaction.
• Perform database queries to troubleshoot problems and suggest changes to database design that support proposed solutions.
• Work with existing SQL queries, analyze them, and sift through data.

Required Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s Degree.

Experience: 5 years of relevant experience.

Technical Skills: Proficient in understanding the Software Development Lifecycle and ability to write SQL reports and select statements.
