Senior Accountant – Job Description

Experience: 8–10 Years
Qualification: B.Com / M.Com preferred
Department: Accounts & Finance
Reporting To: Accounts Manager / Finance Manager

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including purchase, sales, receipt, payment and journal entries.
• Maintain accurate books of accounts and general ledger.
• Handle Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable and monitor vendor/customer outstanding.
• Prepare and review bank reconciliation, ledger reconciliation, cash book and ageing reports.
• Verify purchase invoices, sales invoices, expenses, payments and supporting documents.
• Handle GST, TDS and other statutory compliance related accounting activities.
• Prepare monthly MIS, expense reports and other financial reports for management.
• Assist in monthly, quarterly and yearly closing of accounts.
• Maintain proper records of fixed assets, advances, expenses and other financial transactions.
• Coordinate with internal and statutory auditors and provide required records and documents.
• Ensure proper accounting of payroll, employee advances, deductions and related transactions.
• Monitor expenses and assist in budget preparation and cost-control activities.
• Identify accounting discrepancies and ensure timely correction and reconciliation.
• Maintain proper filing and documentation of all financial records.
• Work efficiently on Tally/ERP and MS Excel for accounting and reporting.
• Ensure timely completion of accounting activities while following company policies and financial controls.

Required Skills:
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, GST/TDS, reconciliation, taxation basics, financial reporting, Tally/ERP and MS Excel. Good analytical, communication and problem-solving skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
